Try my Riddles !!

1. It is greater than God and more evil than the devil. The poor have it, the rich need it and if you eat it you'll die. What is it?

2. I am the beginning of end, and the end of time and space. I am essential to creation, and I surround every place. What am I?

3. What always runs but never walks, often murmurs, never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never eats?

4. What is in seasons, seconds, centuries and minutes but not in decades, years or days?

5. What has a head, a tail, is brown, and has no legs?

6. This is a most unusual paragraph. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why? Study it, think about it, and you may find out. Try to do it without coaching. If you work at it for a bit it will dawn on you. So jump to it and try your skill at figuring it out. Good luck - don't blow your cool!

The Holocaust: WW2

The Holocaust was one of history’s most frightening times. I feel horrified to know that Adolf Hitler killed millions of Jews just because they were rich, powerful and most of all different.

We had a visit from a lady called Lia Lesser who was lucky enough to survive the Holocaust. Because of her visit and previous knowledge, I have learnt that Lia and about 600 other children were saved by one man; Nicholas Winton. The children that were saved were brought to England on Kinder Transport and were looked after by this man. Other unluckier people were taken to Concentration Camps where they were slaved and were given very little to eat for survival. Unfortunately, many Jews died because they were starved. Lia lost her family because of the terrible Concentration Camps. I hope that nothing like this ever happens again, it's bullying which is will get you nowhere in life.

Super Snow!! :D

View IMG-20130118-WA001.jpg in slide show  Before I start, I want to make one thing clear : why are snowmen called snowMEN? Today I made a female snowman, therefore, I think snowmen should be called snowPEOPLE - it's only fair.

Anyway, yesterday and today I have been enjoying the fabulous snow! Yesterday I went sledging and made snow angels which was so much FUN!! This picture is after we all had a go at sledging...

Harrods!!

View IMG00037-20130117-1943.jpg in slide show

On New Years Day, me and my family were fortunate enough to visit the U.K.'s biggest store, Harrods, which is located in London. The store is where the rich and famous shop. In there, we went to the food hall, which is world famous, and the seasonal christmas department where they sell gifts and harrods branded items, this is where my parents bought this harrods teapot attached to a cup and a spoon :

I bought a cream vinyl pencilcase while my brother bought a teddy bear and a duck covered in 'Harrods'. When we were looking around the shop, we used the Egyptian escalaters. These are escalaters that are decorated with Egyptian patterns and shapes. We also looked around the millionaire gallery where many pictures that were signed were displayed at very high prices. There was one where Muhammad Ali had signed his boxing gloves and put them on the picture. Each piece had information scattered around the page about the famous person that people were focusing on. The room next to this one was the TV room. Lots of TV's were all around the room, some big others small. Some of the massive TV's were 3D, so, I put on the glasses and watched the screen, it was AMAZING! On one level there was a statue of Princess Dianna and a huge book full of messages from the public to her, I wrote a message and signed like lots of other people.

My day at Harrods was exceptional and memorable. :D

This is what is going to be put into the bag.

Since recently seeing the homeless and having a look at the kind of things they need, we have bought many things to put in bags which will be sent to the homeless. We have put in a toothbrush, toothpaste, noodles, soup, tea and many more things such as milk  and sugar in the bags. A picture of the bag and its contents are above this text.
We are happy to accept any donations from anyone anywhere in the country. Here is a picture of everything that has been kindly donated to us by friends, family and my parents :

Happy New Year!!

DING! DONG! DING! DONG! As Big Ben struck midnight, the first fantastic bang of the ten minute firework display was heard by the entire country! A kaleidoscope of bright colours filled the liquorice, black sky. Everyone knew that it was a new start for us all. People lucky enough to stand in front of the London eye and near Big Ben all held hands, swayed and sang a traditional song as sweet as angels. Looking around, you could see millions of smiles. Everybody was in a merry and jolly mood, with a huge, happy smile on their faces, wondering what the new year of 2013 would bring them…

Norovirus

I have recently caught the norovirus. It wasn't very nice having it since I constantly felt dizzy and very weak. The first sign of norovirus is usually a sudden sick feeling and then forceful vomiting and watery diarrhoea.

Luckly I managed to recover by drinking lots of water, which is very important since dehydration can make the situation worse, and by having lots of rest.

Christmas Day

We started the morning by having breakfast and making our way down to the church in Wolverhampton where the Brothers Of The Good Shepard run a dinner service for the homeless. We went to see what we could help them with through this season as my parents also run a charity called Hazara House, which deals with food, clothing and shelter issues for the under privileged. I was very surprised at how many people turned up on Christmas Day, it is a shame that so many people all around us are so unfortunate. Lots of volunteers came to help hand out the food and drink. One of the Brothers showed us around to see the basic foods that they had to offer and the donations fortunate people had made, he also showed us the simple facilities that we take for granted but is a luxury for the homeless, these facilities are things such as clothes and toiletries. By the door there was a gift for all of the homeless people to take and open since it was Christmas Day. I saw children there, about 1 or 2 years old! I now realise how lucky I am to have what I have and I am a lot more grateful after seeing the conditions that these people live in. We were thinking hard about what we could do to help.

Before we made our way home, we went to the Sikh temple to pray.

We then went home we opened presents and enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner.  My best Christmas present was having my ears pierced...... Here's a picture...
