Exciting Stuff...

This morning I was one of 7 people out of my school to be chosen to 'interview' three teachers who were trying to get the job of Head of Global Studies!

It was quite scary at first because I didn't really know what to say or do and then one of them asked me a question directly....
After I'd given an answer, I suppose it didn't seem that bad after all :)

OMG

Hi!
It's been a while since I last blogged - over a month ago... so sorry...

But I do now have some very exciting news!!! (Well, it's exciting for me but I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't find it too exciting...)

I completed the Rubik's Cube!

"Like...what?!" I hear you say...

I was very close to getting all the colours the same... and then, on the 4th attempt, I did!!

Finally, Snow!

Last night, we finally got some snow! It hasn't snowed all christmas this year and last year too! ... Well it has snowed a bit but it hasn't set.. until last night! It was only a thin layer, but still!

Major went out in it too, at first he was scared and confused! It was pretty funny watching him run about in it afterwards though!

However, this morning when I woke up, the snow was all ice and slush :( It was disappointing... Walking  around school was hard too, making sure you didn't slip!

Apparently it's meant to snow again tonight! I hope it does! haha

Warwick Castle!

Last Thursday, I went to Warwick Castle as a school trip. It took about an hour to get there from school. We arrived around about 10am.

First, we walked past the peacocks that we're wondering around that area. Then, we went straight inside the castle to look at the rooms and see the history inside. Inside the castle, there were wax models in some of the room of the important people there such as Henry VIII.

We also saw an bow man who spoke to us for about half an hour and he explained how to use one of the bows. This was just before lunch.

At lunch, we sat and listened to a man who was speaking about the giant eagles and vultures that were at the castle. They were HUGE!!!

After lunch we climbed the spiral staircases to the top of the tower. I don't like heights or spiral staircases so this part of the day was a complete nightmare for me!

When we finally came back down from the tower, it was time to go in the dungeons! I thought they would VERY SCARY! But, actually they weren't as frightening as I thought. When I agreed to going in the dungeons before we went on the trip, I had know idea that we would be in there for 50MINUTES!!!!!!

I also vlogged the day and if you want to see that this is the link to the video on Youtube :)

London Trip

Last month, I went with 4 of my school friends to London. We had to be at school for 6:20am to leave at 6:30am!!! I don't know how I managed it!

When we got there, we had a tour of Houses of Parliament. Before we left Parliament, we had a workshop about 'Your Voice'. After we did this, we went to McDonalds for lunch - I was starving!!

After lunch, we queued and went on the London Eye. We got into the orange one which is sponsored by EDF Energy! We were going to see the '4D Experience' which came with the London Eye ticket but unfortunately we ran out of time. :(

We arrived back home at around 7:15pm I think. I was very tired!

Last Sunday I was lucky enough to go to Selfridges with my family! We were waiting for it to open for about 15minutes because we thought tang we would struggle to find spaces.

Half Term!

Half term's over already!!! I can't believe it! It's gone past super fast! I also can't believe that I'm already a quarter into year 7!! Secondary school isn't as scary as I thought it would be and now it's so easy to find my way around. my favourite subject would probably be art. In our last art lesson we were doing self-portraits using a mirror. Just before that we were painting the colour wheel.
My keyboard and violin lessons are going great too. I've got really far really quick.

In the half term I went to Dubai with my mom, dad and little brother. It was so much fun! The weather was GREAT!! Our hotel was a 2minute walk away from the beach and, depending on traffic, a 5minute drive to the marina where the boats are. When we went to the marina, we went on my dad's house boat. When we were on it, I took pictures of the view and the next day when we wen to the marina I took pictures of it.

We also got to visit the world's tallest tower (Burj Khalifa). I ate a real gold leaf! It was quite nice. It was really scary being up so high! The tower has 160 floors but the highest one that we could go on was 124 which is very high!
