Summer 2016

Omg.. It's been so long since my last post. I mean, I posted back in October - 6 weeks into Year 9, and now we've just broken up for our 6 weeks holidays. I actually can't even believe how fast this year has gone.

We're already at the summer holidays whaaaa. I literally can not even get over the fact I've finished Year 9 and I'm going into Year 10 in September. It's so unreal to think this time next year I would've sat my first couple of GCSEs as we sit some in Year 10 and the rest in Year 11..!

I also can't get over the fact it's the 25th July.. We're almost 8 months into 2016. What is even happening..

I know I haven't blogged for quite a while.. but I shall keep you posted this summer on anything interesting that happens :)

October?

I know! It's crazy...
It's literally October...
And it's Autumn!

So, I'm in my 6th week (maybe) of year 9 and it's not as scary as I had first expected!
It doesn't even feel like I'm doing GCSE courses (apart from when people misbehave and the teacher reminds us all).
If you didn't know, my school starts GCSEs a year early. This means some exams I will sit at the end of Yr10 and the rest at the end of Yr11, rather than having to do them all in Yr11.

I also hit 200 subscribers on my YouTube channel! OMG
I couldn't even believe it! It still seems so unreal, even now.
There's 246 people who think my videos are worth watching... CRAZY!

Back to School..

Yes, I know.. It's nearly September again, which means school is coming back around :'(

It's so scary to say that I'm going into Year 9 this year and I'm starting my GCSEs as my school starts them a year early...

And how has the six weeks off we have just had gone by so fast?! I feel like I haven't done anything this summer. It's just one big blur of sunny weather.
This time next week I will literally be sitting in a classroom.. :')
As you can tell, I can't wait.

Another Royal Baby!

Congratulations to Will and Kate, who have had a little baby girl!

She was born  on 2nd May in the morning and has been named Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana!

They now have a family of four - Will, Kate, George and now Charlotte!

Science Exams ... :(

Yet again, it has been over a month since I last blogged!
And, yet again, I'm sorry!

I'm coming to the end of Year 8 now and next year I'm starting my GCSEs, which is all very exciting but slightly scary too! My end of Year 8 science exams are near the end of May. My first revision session at school was today! So, I think I should really start revises now.

If you didn't know, the exams are based on EVERYTHING I've learnt in the past two years, which, looking back over old books, is A LOT!

I'm slightly nervous just in case I forget something in the exam or revise something, then revise something different, then forget the first thing I revised... If you get that!

I'm not really looking forward to May!
The results I get in my exams determines what set I'll be in Year 9/ if I am going to have to take double science or triple science...

I'll blog more about this closer to the time! All very scary!

Pretty Little Liars

OMG! I only started watching Pretty Little Liars last weekend... and I can't believe it's taken me this long to start watching it!

It's so gripping it's unbelievable! I've watched so many episodes now, I'm 6 away from Season 3! Is this bad?!

Each and every episode I suspect a different person to be 'A' or Ali's murderer, but sometimes, I get a little scared! Haha

Exciting Stuff...

This morning I was one of 7 people out of my school to be chosen to 'interview' three teachers who were trying to get the job of Head of Global Studies!

It was quite scary at first because I didn't really know what to say or do and then one of them asked me a question directly....
After I'd given an answer, I suppose it didn't seem that bad after all :)

Yes, I know... This is probably the thousandth (is that even a word?!) time you've heard about 'the dress'.

At first, I saw white and gold but when I turned my phones brightness all the way down, I saw blue and black!?!?

I feel blessed to have seen both...

OMG

Hi!
It's been a while since I last blogged - over a month ago... so sorry...

But I do now have some very exciting news!!! (Well, it's exciting for me but I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't find it too exciting...)

I completed the Rubik's Cube!

"Like...what?!" I hear you say...

I was very close to getting all the colours the same... and then, on the 4th attempt, I did!!

Another Monday is finally over! Thankfully!

I've had more homework again today... meaning I really need to start some of my other pieces soon! I might do that tomorrow. At our school, most pieces of homework must take 2hours each as they are projects :( uh oh.

Primary School Friends

Today is one of my primary school friends' 13th birthday party! She said that she has invited a few people from primary school to meet up! I am really excited to be honest!

Since I went to a different school to all my primary friends, I hardly ever see any of them, so tonight will be exciting!

This week has felt like it has just dragged on and on...

Learning Another Language?!

Yes, I am learning another language! It is very exciting and at times difficult.

At school, we have to learn French, but on top of that, I learn Punjabi at home. Every Thursday after school, for an hour, my mom teaches me and my brother different parts of Punjabi and India/ Punjab. We learn about the history of Sikhism, geography to do with India, the language in general etc.

The lesson will start today in a bit, I honestly can't wait!

Finally, Snow!

Last night, we finally got some snow! It hasn't snowed all christmas this year and last year too! ... Well it has snowed a bit but it hasn't set.. until last night! It was only a thin layer, but still!

Major went out in it too, at first he was scared and confused! It was pretty funny watching him run about in it afterwards though!

However, this morning when I woke up, the snow was all ice and slush :( It was disappointing... Walking  around school was hard too, making sure you didn't slip!

Apparently it's meant to snow again tonight! I hope it does! haha

GCSE Options!

I'm now in Year 8 at school, which means that I have to choose my options by the end of this month! :/

Normally, you choose your options when you get to Year 9, but my school does it differently and gets you to choose in year 8 so you have more free time and not always crammed with work!

There are subjects that are compulsory by law, these are as follows:
English Literature
English Language
Maths
Science
ICT
PE
...and if you are in the higher sets...
French...

Because I have to take French as well, I only get to choose three more options. It's quite difficult as the options are all in different columns so PE, Business Studies, Food Tech and fashion could be in Block A for example and I could only choose one of all of them subjects to study. Other subjects are in the other columns and I can only choose one out of each.

I've been thinking about what I want to take and I think I'm gonna go with Business Studies, Sociology and History. However, you don't always get your first option, so I have to choose back up options just in case :(

I've just come back from Year 8 Parents Evening and started thinking more about my options. It is quite hard and I'm quite stuck as teachers were saying how different GCSE in that subject would be completely different to how it is now and in Year 7. I'm quite stuck now but I think I'm gonna have to check the school website to see what each option is like and what it can do for you in the future.

Getting a Puppy!

It feels like we had Major yesterday, but it's actually been quite a few months!

We got our dog, Major, on the 11th October 2014. Before we got him, I was absolutely frightened of dogs! I can't even explain my fear! Now, I can't really understand what I was getting so worried about though, there so gentle and cute! Major is a German Shepherd / Alsation and we got him as a guard dog.

He was born on 16th August 2014 and was only 9 weeks we we got him! He was so small compared to now! When we went to pick him up, he was outside with two of his brothers. I was so scared to get close because of my fear then. Him and his brothers were so energetic though! They were running about like mad! We picked one - Major - and basically just took him home! He obviously was very nervous on the journey back, as it was at least 30 minutes! He seemed quite confused as well.

We got home and played with him for a bit, just so he could get used to us, then we put him inside and left him to sleep.
He must have slept for hours! German Shepherd puppies actually need to sleep for around 15-20 hours per day! Which is a lot!

Now, Major is nearly 5months, which is pretty scary! He's a lot bigger now, it's hard to imagine that he was actually so small 3months ago!

Happy Belated New Year!

Happy New Year!

I know it's a bit late but still... :)

I can't believe that it is actually 2015 already! I still remember 2014 New Years so clearly! Last year whizzed past and now we are in 2015!

I guess I don't really have a New Years Resolution this year, I always seem to break them anyway (as do many others!). I could blog more ;).  Comment below your resolutions, if you have any! It would be interesting to see what other people are hoping to achieve this year! :)
